Avalon, MCTS, and Mobile Meals Collaborate to Deliver 400+ Pairs of New Socks for Valentine’s Day to Homebound Neighbors

On Valentine’s Day, Avalon Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Hamilton collaborated with Mercer County Technical Schools (MCTS) and Mobile Meals of Hamilton Township for their “Warming Hearts to Toes on Valentine’s Day” project. The initiative successfully gathered over 400 new pairs of socks through community donations, which were distributed to Mobile Meals clients. Yolanda Stinger, Avalon’s Director of Community Relations, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from the Hamilton community and announced the project’s intent to become an annual tradition. The partnership involved packaging the socks in Valentine’s-themed bags and delivering them to Mobile Meals recipients as part of the regular meal service.
